Victory Quilts–Sky Rocket Block

I’m working on 20 blocks from Eleanor Burns’ new Quilt-in-a-Day book, Victory Quilts – 1940s Sampler Quilts.  See other blocks I’ve completed in my Quilt Blocks category.

This is an “advance skill level” block called “Sky Rocket”.   The block was a little more difficult to square up, but otherwise was not too bad to do with the excellent instructions in the book.   I think it makes up into an exciting block.

Victory Quilts–Radio Windmill

This is an interesting block from Eleanor Burns’ new Quilt-in-a-Day book, Victory Quilts – 1940s Sampler Quilts.  See other blocks I’ve completed in my Quilt Blocks category.

This block is called “Radio Windmill” and is based on a 1941 block.  It is rated “easy skill level” and is very simple to construct although it does use some partial seaming.
