A Tea Set for my Doll Table

When I posted about finding this darling set in an antique mall awhile back, I said I needed to be on the lookout for some little dishes and a doll to fit the furniture.  My blogger friend, Sarah, at Sarahdidit, suggested a “tiny table topper”.  I hadn’t thought of that and made up one from two 3 inch log cabin blocks.

Then, on my birthday, I found my table decked out with a hand-crocheted table cloth …

and a little bitty tea set plus a birthday cake with a candle.

Now, I’m all ready for a casual lunch or high tea.

    1. No, the cake is not real. It’s some sort of ceramic about 1-1/2 inches diameter. There’s part of a real candle in it Lillian

  1. Those are so TINY! How beautiful it looks. Makes me want to shrink right down and have tea with you. =) I know that cake would be something very tasty! Beautiful crochet work.

  2. I think you have Borrowers running about your house! (I don’t know if the books, by Mary Norton, are popular in America but they are little people who live in your house and ‘borrow things’ to kit out their mini dwellings. This looks just like a Borrowers’ tea party).

  3. Oh, I do love your little table and chair set, and with the tiny dishes it is so adorable! I have a little tea set that I keep on a shelf, but having a table for it would be fun.
