Flowers in Vintage Containers
My daughter picked up a $6 bouquet at the grocery store and made an arrangement for each room in the house, using some of our vintage pieces.
Lillian Applegate Westfelt was a mother of 4, grandmother of 6, and great-grandmother of 3. She was an 86-year-old widow living in a nice little bungalow with her oldest daughter and a beagle-dachsund named Addie. She passed away in November, 2018.

Very nice. I especially love that bird, who made that? It’s look familiar.
Wow, those went a long way, didn’t they! I really love that first pitcher. I used to collect ball pitchers, and I had several flat ones like that, too. That one is particularly nice.
I love these old containers. I have some old bud vases that once belonged to my mother. This spring I’ve been regularly filling them with daffodils, grape hyacinyths, and other spring flowers –and they really brighten my house.
I have a blue refrigerator jug like that. It was something I bought at a yard sale before I was married. I just liked the color. I guess they have value. Mine still has the cork around the stopper. I enjoyed your pictures of vases.

The bird is marked “Revel Copley” – an antique store find.

Beautiful and so attractive in you vintage vases, etc.
My favorite vase is the bird one. It’s very cute!
Beautiful, Lillian. Your daughter has a talent.

How beautiful! I especially love the last one – but it’s a blue bird and they are my favorites!
They are all beautiful!

All pretty but the 3rd one is my favourite.
