The Block of the Month for the Quilting Board forum for October 1, 2007 is called Morning Star. It is taken from a pattern on the McCall’s Quilting website. It’s considered a beginner pattern but isn’t overly simple and makes a nice block. I used a center of some vintage-looking fabric I had on hand and will probably turn this block into a pillow for my youngest granddaughter.
